Chalet Les Frangins sleeps up to 16 people, making it an ideal holiday destination for a large group of guests.   The chalet is located in the heart of Châtel, which sits right on the border with Switzerland and is only a 90 minute drive from Geneva airport, or you can take a scenic train journey to Aigle with an half hour transfer by taxi. Our chalet will reward you with some amazing views of the Châtel valley and the mountains beyond.  A view you cannot get tired of! 

Beautiful Châtel!

We first discovered this lovely village in 2016 when we came to stay with friends, they convinced us that we must come and experience Châtel and assured us we would “quite” like it. We more than quite liked it, we instantly fell in love with the village, and felt compelled to exhaust the property market until we found the perfect chalet.

Châtel is unlike so many of the major ski areas, it remains relatively unspoilt and still has an authentic French feel about it. It sits right on the border with Switzerland. It is surrounded by many working farms and you may come across the farmers bringing their Abondance cattle through the village. If you don't see them you will certainly hear their bells.  The village comes alive in the summer with a startling show of wild mountain flowers, for which it has won many awards.

Fabulous chalet & skiing the Portes du Soleil

Just had an amazing week at Chalet Les Frangins. Great location, spacious, exceptional high quality but homely fixtures & fittings. The kitchen, as others have said, had everything needed to cater for a large group.  We were greeted by N & S, who gave us a tour & instructions on how to use the appliances etc. The fire was set and all rooms were beautifully presented. Skihire2u delivered & fitted all skis & boots as the group assembled and Frances & Glen @Alpine Quests facilitated the lift passes & transfers from GVA. It was all so easy thanks to their hard work. Valley views, pool table, spa, sauna, Alexa and plenty of spectacular skiing in all directions! Thank you Adam for sharing this gem of a chalet with us. We highly recommend it to others & hope to be back soon.

The chalet was fantastic in all ways. Very clean and well equipped. The chalet was furnished very tastefully and was very welcoming and homely. We were a group of 16 made up of 4 families and the layout of the chalet worked very well. We ate in most evenings, the kitchen was large and well equipped which made it easy to cater for 16 people. The jacuzzi was enjoyed by all. The boot/ski room was well layed out which made it easy in the mornings when all 16 of us were putting on our boots. The ski bus is only a very small walk away and made it easy getting to all the ski lifts from the Chalet. We were welcomed on arrival by a very nice couple who showed us around and explained the workings of the chalet. Communication with the owner was also extremely good prior to our visit. Would definitely go back.

Fabulous Les Frangins

This is an amazing chalet to stay in, thank you Adam! We were 4 families, 8 adults & 8 kids - all able to fit and not feel squashed. The pictures don't do justice to the actual size & quality of the place. We were met by Francis who showed us where everything was & how it worked and was able to give good advice on the local area. The huge living room could comfortably seat us all & even have room for the kids to put on a show! The kitchen had everything we needed with two ovens & massive fridge & freezers. The chalet was set at just the right temperature, though we couldn't resist lighting the huge fire once or twice just for the feel! The bedrooms & bathrooms were spotlessly clean and the beds were some of the comfiest we have ever had. Watching the sun slip behind the mountains from the hot tub & sauna was a perfect way to relax after a full day on the slopes, and the games room great to keep everyone entertained later on. It was a pleasure to have a proper sized boot room where we could all get changed without being on top of each other. The location is great too, plenty of shops near by and the ski bus stop is just a couple of minutes up the hill. We had a couple of large vehicles so mostly drove to the different lifts depending on the conditions - great access to all of Chatel, Morgins & the Swiss side and easy access into Avoriaz . Overall a brilliant holiday & hope to return again soon!
